Sanjiv Ahuja is the founder of and major shareholder in Augere.

Prior to founding Augere in September 2007 Sanjiv Ahuja was, from March 2004 until April 2007, Chief Executive Officer of Orange.

He was throughout this time a member of the board of Orange SA and a member of France Telecom’s Group Management Committee.

During his leadership Orange expanded aggressively in the Middle East and Africa. Orange customer base grew from 48 million subscribers to over 100 million subscribers.

Prior to Orange, Sanjiv was Chief Executive Officer of Comstellar Technologies, a technology company that funded several businesses including Leapstone Systems and Mesh Networks.

He was previously president of Telcordia Technologies (formerly Bellcore) and led the turnaround and sale of Bellcore to SAIC. He was responsible for growing Telcordia from an RBOS Centric Business to a global entity with over 40% of its sales coming from outside North America.

He began his career at IBM in 1979 as a software engineer. From 1987 to1990 he managed IBM’s strategy for transaction processing, and from 1990 to 1994 he was responsible for IBM’s distributed network and systems business, leading IBM into the telecommunications software market globally.

Sanjiv has a degree in electrical engineering from Delhi University, India, and a masters degree from Columbia University in New York. He is currently a non-executive director of Telenor S.A."
